The Forest is dotted with Lakes, Rivers, and beautiful Waterfalls. For the avid or novice shutterbug photographer: bears, rattlesnakes

, bobcats

, coyotes, minks, deer, and turkeys are just a few of the Wildlife that call the Catskills their home. There are miles and miles of trails to snowshoe, backpack, and hike, and lets not forget about the hunting and fantastic fishing too. The black bass, trout, pickerel, and walleye are here. The mountains were once called the Blew or Blue Mountains, because of their harsh weather and color. People once avoided the mountains (and some still do ) believing they are inhabited by evil spirits. Some of the best trails in the mountains and valleys are not only traveled on by man but many animals. Many hours of fun can be had tracking and finding them in their own environment. To find what they have eaten or where they have slept that night or afternoon is quite an exhilarating experience. The native Indians once tracked and hunted these mountains and valleys however, you do not have to hunt to enjoy tracking. This website is under construction. Come back soon as it is updated weekly!
