The idea that changes everything is this: that we are processes of the cosmos, not isolated beings. Science has discovered that life is an inevitable result of 14 billion years of evolutionary processes. You and I are cosmic processes. This points to a new way of looking at ourselves and the world we inhabit. It changes everything. Cosmic Spirituality is, briefly put, the study of the integration of man and the universe -- with all its implications. It is the new mysticism for the 21st century. This new mysticism is, indeed, many things -- a set of philosophical propositions, a meaningful way of living, a positive way of viewing humanity. It posits a new and refreshing relationship between the rational and the spiritual aspects of human nature and the world at large. It seeks to balance humanity's place in the world and man's inner life as well. It encompasses much that is traditional, spiritual, even archaic, yet warmly embraces the most recent findings of the many sciences. It explores nuances of cultural behavior, often reaching surprising, sometimes funny and even revolutionary conclusions. Cosmic Spirituality seeks to balance science and the spiritual, harmonizing and amplifying both. Today -- in our time -- begins one of those epochs in which world history will be written anew. The old forms of philosophy, ethics, epistemology, art, politics, music, economics, etc. have exhausted their possibilities. It remains for an emerging culture to surpass them, discarding what is worn and creating a vision of a new world, a new way and a new way of being.
